Local Farmers Markets

We now have Farmers Markets in Rochford and Hockley.

ROCHFORD FARMERS MARKET

Rochford Farmers Market is celebrating its tenth year! The organisation, which is run by volunteers aims to provide a choice of fresh food and attract people to visit and shop in Rochford.
Stalls include fresh seasonal vegetables, free range meats (pork, beef, chicken) eggs, honey, jams, chutney, cakes, Indian cuisine, goats cheese, milk, a selection of herbs, plants plus organic gardening information. The market starts at 9.30am on Saturday 6 March at the WI Hall, West Street and closes at approximately 12.30pm. Other dates this season are 3 April, 1 May, 5 June, 3 July, 7 August, 4 September, 2 October and 6 November. HOCKLEY FARMERS MARKET

Hockley monthly farmers market was started up in October 2009 and they are held on the second Saturday of each month at the Old Fire Station. A quality selection of products can be found such as cheeses, pickles, jams, honey, meat, bread, cakes, cards, sweets and plants as well as a greengrocer’s stall. There is also a place to have teas and cakes, and a chat with other local residents and local councillors. Please support this initiative from Hockley Parish Council, which is consistent with the village character frequently requested by local residents.
